I'll never forget you cousin! I'm so thankful that we're truly blood related. I always love to hear your stories of your childhood and our dads from the old days before I was born.
One of my fondest memories with you was my first time in Hawaii, you took the time to give Joy and me a grand tour of the island. We saw some spectacular sites and did some fun stuff. I smile when I think about the time you took us to Waimea Falls and when we reached the falls you immediately took your shirt off and jumped in. You said, "come on in, the minerals are good for your skin"....LOL. I looked around and no other people/tourist were swimming in it, but I said to myself, "what the heck". It was actually refreshing. I just remember telling people we went swimming in there and they said, "ewwww". LOL.
Another fond memory was when Chase and I were boogie boarding at Walls then you showed up with your boogie board at the end of the pier and you jumped in. You really showed us how it's done! You waited patiently for the right wave and you rode from the far left to the right towards the Wall. Wow!! That was cool!
These are just a couple memories...there are so so many more that I'll remember for the rest of my life. Our yearly family trips to Hawaii will never be the same, you always welcomed us with so much Aloha and love. It was always wonderful to see you and Linda. You were such a selfless man making time to spend with us, making sure we had boards to use along with a box of malasadas. I'll miss you calling us randomly to check on us. You were such a great man with a huge heart. I'm super thankful you and Linda came to Chelsey and Caleb's wedding. That was so special to all of us. I'm also glad we got to celebrate your birthday while you were here.
Heaven gained an angel. I and my family are so thankful and blessed that you were a significant part of our lives. I hope that I can be half the man you were. I love you from the bottom of my heart and I will miss you! Until we meet again, Shaka Brah!
