Teodocia Marcos Alminiana's Obituary
Teodocia “Mama” Marcos Alminiana, 84 years old, passed away at Pali Momi Medical Center on Wednesday, July 24th. Mama was born in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on May 29th 1935 to her mother Primitiva Marcos. She was married to, and has returned to her loving husband Rufino Alminiana. Together they had raised three children and have five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mama spent the majority of her life in Hawaii running a daycare for children of her friends and family. She spent her later years of her life gardening flowers, and vegetables.
Known to many as “Mama” because of her motherly demeanor and relationships she had with the people in her life. Always trying to feed you, clean you up or help you out in any way that she could. She is survived by her children Nestor Alminiana, Glenn Alminiana, and Christina Thai.
Grandchildren Nelou Jean Alminiana, Lovelyn Soquena, Lester Alminiana, Tricha Thai, and Christian Thai. Great Grandchildren Cody Alminiana, Makayla Alminiana, Caydence Nishimiya, and Montana Soquena.
Services will be held at St. Joseph Church in Waipahu on Wednesday August 21st. Viewing is at 9:30 am. Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Burial services at Valley of the Temple at 1:00pm. The family would also like for you to join them there for lunch at 1:30.
