Thomas Chitose Miyashiro's Obituary
Thomas Chitose Miyashiro, 77, formerly of Kaneohe, passed away at his residence in Wahiawa on February 13, 2018 with the care of Bristol Hospice. He was born to Chiyoko (Kogachi) and Hoyei Miyashiro in Waipahu, Hawaii on December 7, 1940. He retired as a Steel Worker with Associated Steel Workers, LTD and after retirement he worked at the Schofield Bowling Center. He is also a United States Army Veteran.
Thomas is survived by wife of 48 years, Carole Miyashiro; son, Todd Miyashiro; daughter, Dawn (Kelly) Chinen; brothers, Harold Miyashiro, Paul Miyashiro, Edwin Miyashiro, James Miyashiro, Howard Miyashiro; sister, Mary Sorayama; 2 granddaughters, Nicole Chinen and Mackenzie Chinen; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Thomas will be on Saturday April 21, 2018 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation will be at 9:30 am with services to begin at 10:30 am with the United States Army opening services with Military Honors. Cremation will be to follow. There will be an inurnment on Tuesday April 24, 2018 at 11:00 am at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
