Thomas "Tommy" Yuk Sung Goo, Sr.'s Obituary
Thomas “Tommy” Yuk Sung Goo, Sr., a resident of Kaneohe, Oahu passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 in Honolulu. Born to Sing Chung Goo and Shee Au in Hanalei, Kauai, Hawaii on August 31, 1926. He was a retired assistant emergency medical technician for the City and County of Honolulu, a practical nurse for the Territorial Hospital and a United States Army Veteran.
Tommy served in the United States Army from December 1945 and was honorably discharged in June 1947. He held the rank of Private First Class.
He was married to Miriam Eloise Farley on November 11, 1945.
He was a member of Ka Hale Hoano O Ke Akua and also a member with the Pali Golf Club.
His favorite things were; golfing, cooking, gambling and fishing.
Tommy is survived by sons, Thomas (Charlene) Goo, Jr. and Paul (Deanna) Goo; brothers, Peter Goo, Kenneth (Sylvia) Goo and Franklin (Marilyn) Goo; sister, Marion Chong; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Service for Tommy will be on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary (located at 45-425 Kamehameha Highway Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744); visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.; service to begin at 11:00 a.m. burial to follow 1:00 p.m. Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
