Velma Kamalani "Poha" Dela Pena, age 78, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away April 7, 2018 at Castle Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii to parents Edward Kam and Louise Kama Kaanapu Kam, Poha was an accountant for Alu Like.
She is survived by husband, Donald Dela Pena; children, Dolly (Kelii) Gonsalez, Donald (Diane) Dela Pena, Dellard (Kalei) Dela Pena, Darlynn (Kalani) Peace and Doland (Echo) Dela Pena; 29 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ivon (Charley) King, Ipo (George) Rivera, Henry Kam, Paulette (Errol) Palmer, Clifford Kam; many Hanai children.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at St. George Church Waimanalo (41-1323 Kalanianaole Hwy). Visitation 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Eulogy and Remembrances 11:00 a.m. followed by Catholic Prayer Service at 11:30 a.m. Private scattering of ashes on Sunday.
