Rachel Evangelista
It was an emotional and happy reunion last August when we met with cousin Vicki at her place in Pleasant Hill.
Vicki and I serendipitously found each other through our genealogy work and it was wonderful to reunite her with my mom who had not seen her in decades.
My grandmother and Vicki’s grandmother were sisters. And the afternoon of our get together we regaled each other with stories and shared photos and remembrances of the people we held dear.
Vicki was vibrant, intelligent, funny, caring and shrewd - a truly beautiful human. I only wish we had more time with her. I cherish the short time we had and am so grateful we found each other at last.
My deepest condolences to the entire family.
