Vincent Yanuaria Andres Sr.'s Obituary
Vincent Yanuaria Andres, Sr.
A loving Husband/Pang/Tata went home peacefully with our Lord on April 4, 2020 at the age of 98 years old in Honolulu, Hawaii. He will be sorely missed!
Vincent Sr. was born on December 27, 1921 in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to Anselmo and Cristina Andres.
During World War II at the young age of 20 years old, he courageously joined the Guerilla Philippine Force and served in the artillery unit. Then later migrated to the United States, Honolulu, Hawaii in July 1966. He took pride in being patriotic and was knowledgeable with world history and current affairs.
He worked and retired from the hotel industry. He was a caring and hardworking man with great work ethics who provided for his family. Pang enjoyed visiting places and relatives as well as playing his ukulele. He was very proper and took pride in his appearance. Therefore, he thoroughly enjoyed shopping especially for clothes and shoes. He loved to joke around and had a great sense of humor. His playful and joyful spirit made him the life of the party. Pang’s gentle spirit and soft-spoken mannerism will forever be etched in our hearts.
Vincent Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. He is survived by his faithful wife, Lorie (Lorenza) of 67 years and 6 blessed children: Vincent Jr. (LaVonne), Vilorie (Albert) Valencia, Margie (Allen) Alejandro, Nellie (Clifford) Arnold, Nester (Jane), Noela (Hakim) Nance; 21 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and counting. He’s also survived by 5 brothers, and 2 sisters. He genuinely treasured his close relationships with his family, relatives and friends.
We will honor our beloved father with a private Celebration of Life, on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
