Vincent Arlys Carias' Obituary
Vincent Arlys Carias, 78, of Kaneohe, beloved companion, father, grandpa and brother, passed away November 15, 2017. Born on November 13, 1939 in Los Angeles, California to parents Vincent C. Carias and Frances Simpson Carias, he was a former metro officer for the Honolulu Police Department, retired United States Postal Service worker, a U.S. Army veteran, loan adjuster for American Savings Bank, tax preparer for H & R Block, security officer at Turtle Bay, Pacific Beach Hotel, The Ilikai, Hawaiian Monarch Hotel, a private investigator and a U.S. Census worker.
He is survived by companion, Velma Rapoza; son, Rodney (Melani) Carias; daughter, Rhonda J. (Wayne) Nakamoto, Rendi (Kapena) Kanaiaupuni; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Dwight (Jennifer) Carias; sisters, Elaine Reyes and Colleen (Barry) Carias-Herskowitz.
Services over ashes will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church (920 Keolu Drive, Kailua, Hawaii 96734) with a visitation from 9:00-10:00 a.m. A Prayer Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. Committal service with military honors and burial of ashes will be at 1:00 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
