Virginia Baptista Curammeng's Obituary
Family and friends celebrate the beautiful life of Virginia Baptista Curammeng, who
passed away in Honolulu, HI on April 18th, 2026. Born in Laoag City, Philippines, on June 10th, 1937, Virginia filled 88 years with kindness, support, hard work, and empathy. Virginia’s journey began in Laoag, yet her determination quickly carried her across new horizons. She started in hotel housekeeping, learned every task with care, and never stopped aiming higher. Her steady rise led her from maid to Executive Housekeeper at Hale Koa, a role she embraced with pride. Many coworkers remember how her careful eye and warm encouragement shaped a welcoming place for guests and staff alike. Outside work, Virginia loved to travel. Trips to the Philippines, lively visits to Las Vegas, and relaxing cruise ship days were possible because her children enjoyed sharing the world with her. Orchids brightened her home, and time with her kids was always her favorite part of any day.
Virginia raised a close family and treasured them all. She is lovingly remembered by her sons Charles Curammeng, Adonis Curammeng, Noel Curammeng, and her daughter Maryln Manuel, along with seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who brought special joy to her later years. Those who knew Virginia speak of her kind spirit, supportive words, hardworking nature, and deep empathy. Each trait lives on in the many lives she touched.
Today we honor Virginia’s vibrant journey and the happy memories she leaves behind. May xevery shared story of her travels, orchids, and caring guidance bring smiles for years to come.
