Aloha Ka Kou to my Ohana:) I remember the last time I was with Aunty Helani, we were at the Jack In the Box in Honolulu getting some cheeseburgers. As we were backing out of our parking space, we were rear-ended by another kanaka maoli. He got out of his truck to make sure that Aunty and I were okay. He asked her if she wanted his insurance information. Her response "No need braddah. We're okay. Malama Pono."She also made a huge dinner when I visited home in July of 1986. I know that she embodied the Loving Aloha Spirit that we Hawaiians are made of. I shed my tears of sadness and joy for I know that she is not hindered by her physical body anymore. She is in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. However I do miss her. I wish that my keiki could have met their Aunty Helani. Now that will have to wait until we are all together in Heaven. To my Island Ohana, I am so sorry for our loss and for not staying in touch with you. I ask forgiveness and will be calling you soon.Long Live the memory of Vivian Dinah Helani Gilman Chung. Her legacy lives on in her keiki and in all of the people who knew her.Mahalo Ka Kou Aunty Helani. Please say Aloha Au Ia 'Oe to your Makuakane and Makuahine for all of us. And tell my mom and dad that we love them and miss them so much.Aloha Au Ia 'Oe,Boopie, Kehau, Pua##imported-begin##Alexander Manulani Rubio##imported-end##
