Wade Hiram Jones' Obituary
Celebrating the life of Wade Hiram Jones. He was born on January 16, 1943 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He passed away on December 15, 2015 peacefully at home. His parents were Walter A & Emily K. Jones. He was the oldest of 4 siblings.
He attended St. Anthony’s of Kalihi, Maryknoll Schools Class of 1961, and Northtrop Institute of Technology. Wade retired on June 6, 2013 after serving for 45 years in the airline industry.
On May 8th, 1971, Wade married the love of his life Joanne Noa at St. Patrick’s Church. Wade served in the Air National Guard Reserves from 1963 – 1971.
His most important events in his life were his marriage, his job, his family, and the birth of his first grandchild. Wade was a very generous, patient, simple, and gentle man.
Wade’s favorite hobbies were working on classic cars including his own 1967 Pontiac GTO. When he wasn’t working on cars, he would be rolling the dice on the craps table in his favorite place, Las Vegas. His favorite singer was Elvis Presley and he loved listening to the Oldies.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service for Mr. Wade to begin at 10:00 a.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary – Chapel with a burial to follow 11:00 a.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
