My family and I met Wayne in October 2018 when he was in Dallas, TX for a ministry conference. We had mutual friends that introduced us while having lunch at the WholeFoods on a Sunday. He had such a kind and gentle spirit; I knew he was genuinely good-hearted in character. Our group had shared different testimonies and spoke about how the Lord Jesus was moving in each of our lives. After 2-3 hours of talking with Wayne and the group, we exchanged contacts and kept in touch over the years.
Fast forward to October 2021, we were reunited with Wayne at the same ministry conference held in Lewisville, TX. This time, he had a lady friend with him. We were excited to see Wayne since we knew he had traveled great distance to get to Texas! Wayne looked great...healthy, happy and much younger than his age. We all got together for lunch twice during this period; the Vietnamese restaurant we took Wayne to was a local favorite.
During our lunches and chats with Wayne, he seemed more relaxed and opening up more with us. It was such a blessing to discuss about our Lord Jesus and our faith in Abba, Father. Wayne even prayed for me and my family. He had faith that could move mountains!
In learning of Wayne’s passing, I could not accept it! We just saw him...how did his health deteriorate so quickly? My family and I are incredibly sad that we no longer have access to Wayne’s life, his wisdom and powerful prayers. We love our spiritual Brother Wayne and will miss him dearly! He embodied honor, grace, boldness and the Love of Christ!! Thank You, Lord Jesus that we will see him again in Heaven! God bless the Nakamura Family. Love, ~Twa & Mickael
