Wendy Emiko Suzuki, 65, of Kailua, passed away on September 3, 2022. She was born in Honolulu on April 21, 1957. She retired as a Analyst for the Kaiser Foundational Hospital. Wendy is survived by her Husband: Paul Y. Suzuki; Mot Read Obituary
Much comfort and love for this family of Wendy Suzuki. An angel indeed. My husband, Captain Chris Thornburg, and myself, send our thought during this fragile time although we are afar. My husband is a prayer warrior and will lift up everyone affected by the loss of Wendy.

Wendy was a special person. I knew her briefly in high school. Since our school was with a lot of students. But I am sure we share many activities from Homecoming float making dances and classes. I know her good friend Susan Newtson Pernula posted as well as Joann Ochi. Last night was our Medicare classmate reunion. Although I was not there, In Spirit Wendy was in the reunion amen. Looking down from heaven. And our last reunion prior to this one she sang the Alma Mater as well the rest of us.
I know Susan message myself that they were supposed to go lunch together. After she got well. That was something Susan was looking forward too. In her message she you Paul the husband called Susan telling of her going to heaven. I was told by Pastor Ron of her going to heaven. Susan and Wendy were great friends. I know Helene wish she met Wendy. They chatted also on messenger. And we all miss her so much. I know on fool around Friday she loves the righteous brother song. And Pastor Ron played it. She was in Worship Wednesday with all of us and keep her stalwart faith. But know she has a new body and with our Lord and Saviour. Amen.
I hope more classmates tell of their memories of Wendy. I Posted on the reunion page if they can say some kind words. Wendy was loved by all.
Lord comfort Paul and the children and everyone who misses Wendy Emiko Suzuki amen. She left a loving family behind amen. Family friends church members many who knew Wendy. Oh, she has a heart as big as it will get. When she was here her light were shining of a Christian and kind person. Amen.
I didn’t know Wendy that well
In school, but was a FB friend of hers. I knew what she was dealing with because of something she said in her postings. I messaged her and she told me, but I could never imagine by all her beautiful posts that she was going through so much. I often wondered where she got all the beautiful pictures she posted. They were so serene. I wondered if she knew what heaven would look like and all those beautiful pictures were what she might have seen in her dreams. Now that she is with God I hope he gave her the room with all those vivid colors and beautiful scenery! I know her family will miss her, but I pray that they will find comfort in knowing she is with her Heavenly Father and is no longer in any pain.
We will all miss Wendy very much. I thank you Paul, for taking such good care of her. You did a wonderful job and she would tell me how much she appreciated all that you did for her. I will miss our text talks so very much! We had big plans of what we were going to do together when she was better. Wendy was my eternal optimist. I loved how she believed in God and miracles. She would say, “We are going shopping for nice clothes that fit when I am HEALED! Next we would go out for a nice lunch in our new clothes!! Then, we planned to take our hubbies to a pretty outdoor/indoor restaurant on the beach at Longhi’s in KoOlina and sit on our beach chairs drinking virgin Piña Coladas and watch the sun go down with the sand between our toes. Bless all of you that made Wendy happy. SHE even helped ME when I was feeling down! She told me, “Call me now. Call me right now or I am calling you!!!” So precious. I was very blessed to have Wendy; ‘my sister’…my friend. My heart goes out to her family and I cover them all with my prayers. We bid Wendy farewell just for now, because we shall meet again. She loved my little newborn granddaughter and always wanted pictures! I remember how Wendy would never hurt anyone and she had the kindest and purest heart. Aloha pretty one. Until we meet again. You’re with your Dad now and my Mom and Dad! In Jesus’ Name, I pray for PEACE.

I have only known Wendy for a short time. Although I have not met her in person our friendship feels as though I’ve known her for a lifetime. It’s amazing how our Heavenly Father calls his sheep together and we follow because we know his voice. Our friendship started through Pastor Ron Yoshida’s WW/ FAF live performances on Facebook. Wendy and I talked about our curiosity competing with the likes and loves during his live performances. Her curiosity won over and I got a friend request. I was a local girl from Kauai(now living in Montana) and she from Oahu. Our friendship journey began from that day forward up until her body just wore out. She is our guardian angel now. No pain… young and beautiful.
Wendy had a huge heart consumed with kindness and compassion for others. She spent her time here always trying to understand people and better the world around her whether you noticed or not. Let us do the same.
So in remembrance, I will hold close to my heart your dedication, kindness, friendship and passion of sharing Christ love with me and others. I love you Wendy! This is not where our story ends. A Hui Hou!
