WILFRED WAI MUN CHING
Wilfred Wai Mun Ching 69 of Honolulu died Dec 11, 2013. He was born on March 12, 1944 in Honolulu, Hawaii and was preceded in death by his parents Wendy Kam Moon Wong Ching and Alfred Kwai Fong Ching. He is survived by his sister Vivian Ching Goo,brother-in-law Tyrus Goo
of Camarillo, California; Nieces Valerie (Peter) Goo Anderson,Teresa (Carlos) Goo Escobar
and Tyralee Goo; Grand-niece Elysia Goo Escobar; and Aunt Wanda (Arthur) Ching of Kaimuki, Hawaii.
Wilfred graduated from Maryknoll High School; attended Georgetown University
in Washington D. C. and graduated from the University of Hawaii. He worked for
and retired from the State of Hawaii. He is also a Army Veteran.
Wilfred enjoyed playing Bridge at Central Union Church and at the Ala Wai
Bridge club. He also enjoyed correspondence Chest competition of which he was awarded
National Quad trophies. He enjoyed reading Scientific Journels ,Business and Investment Magazines, and Consumer Reports.
Wilfred belonged to the United States Chess Federation, the See Dai Doo Society of Hawaii, The Ching Society and AARP. His funeral will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014
at the United Church of Christ, 467 North Judd Street Honolulu, Hawaii. Viewing at 11:00a.m. with service at 11:30a.m. burial will be at the Valley of the Temples at 1:00p.m. No flowers. Aloha informal attire.
