William "Billy" Nika Pukahi Jr.

Was thinking about Bill and wondering how he was doing. Worked with him at the college for about two years in the early 90s. He would relieve me at the gate when it was time for me to leave for the day. Such a sweet man. A few years back I called to see if he was still working for the college and asked him if he knew who I was just by my voice. to my surprise he did. It shocked me cause I hadn't talked to him in over ten years. I considered him a good friend.. My heart is sad. So glad I got to talk to him one last time......Andrea

I was very sad to hear that Bill passed away. He was always smiling when he would greet me at the HLC gate. He also always encouraged my love of hula despite the fact I was a "hauoli". He always asked me if I was going to dance at May Day. He was such a wonderfully happy and sweet person. I send you my heartfelt condolences. He was a wonderful man.

I'm sorry to read in the paper that Billy had passed away. He was a friend, a teammate, and a classmate. I will always remember his smile and hard work on the football field.
