William Warren Posenecker's Obituary
LCDR William Warren “Bill” Posenecker, 84, formerly of Atlanta, GA passed away peacefully at home in Pupukea on Saturday, March 4, 2023.
Bill was born in Atlanta, GA on Sept. 17, 1938. His parents were Adolph and Elaine Posenecker. He married Eugenia Posenecker on July 26, 1969, in Coronado, CA. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BS in Mathematics and later received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. Bill was a Vietnam veteran and retired from the US Navy after 20 years. He served as the engineering officer aboard the USS Ouellet during his naval career. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard for many years before retiring from CINCPACFLT where he played an instrumental role in managing shipyard operations in Guam, Japan, Philippines, and Hawaii.
Bill is preceded in death by parents Adolph and Elaine Posenecker; son Michael George; grandson Brandon George.
Bill is survived by wife Eugenia Posenecker; his children Eric Posenecker; Mark Posenecker and his wife Alisa; Gregory George and his wife Ying; brother John Posenecker and his wife Molly and their children Joe, Jackie, and Heidi; grandchildren Jake Posenecker, Jason Posenecker, Sabrina George, and Enzo George.
The family welcomes all friends and loved ones to celebrate Bill’s life at St. Roch Church, 56-350 Kamehameha Highway, Kahuku, Hawaii 96731 on Friday, March, 24, 2023. Visitation will be at 10am and the service will be at 11am.
Private funeral services for family will be held at Valley of the Temples.
