Yeung Ho Lau's Obituary
Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary at Valley of the Temples is saddened to announce the passing of Yeung Ho Lau. She was born on February 10, 1924 in Canton, China and passed away on January 2, 2024, in Honolulu.
Yeung Ho Lau, best known as Mama to her family was generous, kindhearted and very hardworking. She enjoyed cooking, playing Mah Jong, reading, shopping and traveling. Her favorite pastimes included practicing Tai Chi and shopping at Chinatown, Longs and Safeway nearby and making many different delicious meats and snacks for everyone in the family. Everyone loved her cooking as she was very creative and knew recipes to many unique dishes. She has traveled to parts of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Las Vegas. She especially enjoyed the poker machines at Las Vegas. She lived a full and warm life, filled with joy. She will fondly be remembered and sorely missed.
Yeung Ho Lau is survived by her children: Oi Wan Leung, Clarence Lau, Ricky Lau, Kate Lau; Five Grandchildren, Jimmy, Ann, Jonathan, Daniel, Eric; 5 Great Grandchildren, Elizabeth, Katherine, Hostas, JoAnn and Jannel. Preceded in death by her Parents, Sister and Husband.
Funeral service will be on Sunday January 21, 2024, at Valley of the Temples Mortuary from 4:00- 7:00pm. There will be a burial the following morning of Monday January 22, 2024, 9am at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
