Mom loved celebrating special occasions with family at restaurants & at home in Kahalu'u. We enjoyed her oxtail stew, beef stew, miso soup, andagi, manju and mochi, especially the peanut butter ones! She craved ice cream, castella cake, fruits, bitter melon, oxtail soup & tempura. She enjoyed playing cards & watching UH sports, John Wayne in Westerns & Chuck Norris in Walker, Texas Ranger. She was a big fan bingo, Las Vegas, Costco & Marukai. Mom cherished Okinawan dance & music. Her favorite colors were pink & red. She had a green thumb for tropical flowers & fruits like apple banana, avocado, calamansi & jabong which she happily shared with so many of us. Thank you mom for your generous aloha spirit!
