Zaldy Academia Lacamiento's Obituary
Zaldy Lacamiento, 60, passed away on October 2, 2017 from heart failure at The Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, HI.
Zaldy was born on February 2, 1957 in Pinili (Ilocos Norte), Philippines and moved to Oahu in 1973. He worked as a Cook at various restaurants; although he rarely cooked at home. He worked at Orsons and Pagoda to name a few and in December of 2016, he put away his carving knives and retired from Hickam Officers Club. During his retirement, he enjoyed the simple things: walking his 2 dogs (Cocoa and Tabby), playing games on his iPhone and iPad, as well as Tuesday morning breakfasts with his brother Sammy.
Zaldy is survived by his wife, Madeline; daughter, Jennifer (Joel) Alibin; son, Jared Lacamiento; mother, Rosalina Lacamiento; and his eight siblings, Nellie Eugenio, Lydia (Camilo) Areola, Remy Brown, Simplicio (Melchora) Lacamiento, Roger Lacamiento, Sammy (Criselda) Lacamiento, Margie (Dwayne) LaRue, and Nora (Kereti) Matau’tia. He was preceded in death by his father, Ambrocio Lacamiento, father-in-law, Benigno Cariaga and mother-in-law, Luisa Cariaga.
Memorial and Burial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017
