Consuelo Dumlao Dicho, age 71, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was born on June 10, 1955, in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, to Pedro and Manuela Dumlao.
Consuelo’s life was defined by her warmth, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. After relocating to Hawaii, she dedicated many years of her life to working in childcare, where she became known for her gentle spirit and extraordinary ability to nurture and care for children. Her kindness left a lasting impact on countless families, and she was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her both personally and professionally.
Family was at the center of Consuelo’s world. She shared a loving and enduring marriage with her husband, Ricardo Morta Dicho. Together, they built a life grounded in love, faith, and strong family values. She was a devoted mother to her children—Jeanette Schunk, Jayson Dicho, and Jeffrey Dicho—offering them constant support, encouragement, and unconditional love.
Following her retirement, Consuelo embraced her role as a full-time grandmother with great joy and dedication. She remained active and productive, always finding ways to care for her grandchildren and stay involved in their lives. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and guidance to her growing family, which extended to her beloved five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Consuelo is also survived by her dear sisters, Yolanda Dumlao, Avelina Balisacan, and Marie Rose Corpuz, with whom she shared a close bond rooted in family and shared memories.
She will be remembered for her gentle heart, her tireless devotion to family, and the love she poured into every life she touched. Her legacy lives on through the generations she helped raise and the many hearts she warmed with her kindness.
