Papa’s “ohhh!” When you’d try surprise him… And him saying “Come! Eat! Don’t be shy. No shame!”
And when I’d walk to the backyard to surprise him and his beautiful wife, my mama, to spend the afternoon; seeing him and my mama in their peaceful rhythms and rituals: playing games, reading the newspaper, trimming marrunghay leaves…
These things (and more I’d like to share as I remember in time) made my heart smile sooo much… to see them together, sometimes moving independently, but joined in spirit.
God bless you Papa and praying you rest in peace… Mama loves you so much, misses you every day and makes coffee & food to share with you every day… there’s a candle burning here at home too… and a light to Jesus that we pray has guided you home. When you get to heaven (praying you are already there) please pray for us papa - we hope (and with all mama’s might) to see you there in God’s time. BIGGEST HUGS, blessings and prayers.
