My beloved husband, words cannot express this longing and mourning for you. It's been 7 months, and each day through my pain, I see blessings and new opportunities. This separation is only temporary, one day I'll see you again. My peace comes in knowing you are with the Lord and the pain you suffered for so long is a thing of the past. You are rejoicing with loved ones and remembered here by all who knew and loved you. I miss your amazing voice, your wonderful sense of humour and most of all our prayers & singing together. It was a great time of praise & worship. You gave me 51 years of faithful devotion and a life of laughter and love. You raised our children with wisdom, love & a firm hand. You were the pillar of our 'ohana, a hard worker and a wonderful role model. You were a true servant and never failed to share God's love with others. We shared many wonderful moments together, with our 'ohana and church family as well. Yes, you are so missed but your presence is still here as I reflect on the life we had.
With our loving family and church family we are so blessed.
My fondest memory is the response you gave to the EMT on the ambulance on Makanani's birthday last year. It was a winner, typical of your quick wit...laughter, it served us well. Till we meet again, Aloha Pumehana...your beloved help-mate.
