Earl C.K. Kidder, a devoted father, passionate motorcycle enthusiast, and dedicated law enforcement officer, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the age of 48. Born in Kailua, Hawaii, Earl touched the lives of many through his unwavering commitment to family, community, and public service.
As a father, Earl took immense pride in his two children. He was a fixture at their sporting events, cheering them on from the sidelines with boundless enthusiasm. His love and encouragement knew no bounds, and his children will forever carry the legacy of his unwavering support.
Earl’s professional journey began with the Maui Police Department, where he served as a Maui Police Officer on the picturesque island of Lanai. His dedication to maintaining peace and safety in the community was evident in every interaction. Later, he transitioned to the Oahu Community Correctional Center, where he continued to uphold justice and fairness.
However, it was as a Deputy Sheriff for the state of Hawaii on the island of Oahu that Earl found his true calling. His commitment to public safety extended beyond duty hours, as he worked tirelessly to protect and serve the people of his beloved state. Earl’s colleagues remember him as a reliable and compassionate officer, always willing to go the extra mile.
Beyond his professional life, Earl was an avid motorcyclist. The open road was his sanctuary, and the hum of the engine provided solace amidst life’s challenges. Whether cruising along scenic routes or participating in charity rides, Earl reveled in the freedom and camaraderie that motorcycling offered.
Earl is also survived by his mother, Irma, his father, Earl K.A., and his sister, Jana. Their memories of his kindness, resilience, and unwavering spirit will forever echo in their hearts.
A memorial service will be held at the Valley of the Temples Main Chapel on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 10:00 am, where friends, family, and colleagues can gather to celebrate Earl’s life and honor his legacy.
