Edmund, with Jackie, was an important part of my life as a teen and young adult, and remain so now. His love and support helped me heal from a difficult childhood and the death of my own father. They helped me believe I could be loved. I am so grateful to him for opening his home and the back of the store to me and trusting me with the cash register. :) Although I would have preferred not being introduced to the mop. His generosity of spirit touched many lives in Kahalu`u.Though his life was long, it's never long enough for those who love him. My heart goes out to the ohana of blood and heart that ripples out from Waikane like water in a pond responds to the fall of a diamond into its depths, dispersing even as far as Texas where I now live.
