EDMUND FRANCIS TING CHOY CHONGDecember 21, 1926-January 15, 2013Survived by wife, Jacqueline "Jackie" Chong; sons; Charles (Ann) Chong and Simon Chong; daughter, Donna Chong; grandchildren, Simon (Kolea) Chong, Makanaokalani Chong, Edmund (Michelle) Chong and hanai grandson, John Heaukulani; great grandchildren, Hoaka and Nakoa Chong; nephews, Charles Rosecrantz, Wendell Chong, Skippy Putt, Mark Putt, Douglas Chong, Bruce Chong, and Jerry Santos; nieces, Sandra Hefferon, Toni Jean Duarte, Colleen Franz, and Jacqueline Brown.Edmund retired from the family operated Hygienic Store in Kahaluu where it was once known for selling the biggest ice cream cones for a nickel. He was a quiet man who loved his family. He enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas and shopping trips in Kaneohe where he would bump into former customers or friends.Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; service 11:00 a.m.; burial 1:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
