Glenn Yoke Mun Lung's Obituary
Glenn Yoke Mun Lung, 91, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on August 25, 2020 at Kaiser Hospital. He was born in Honolulu to father, Kwai Shoon Lung and mother, Gladys Chong Kyau Leau. He attended schools in Honolulu and graduated in 1946 from Kaimuki High School. After graduation from high school, Glenn served in the U.S. Army, stationed at Schofield Barracks and Fort Shafter. For 25 years, he worked for the City and County of Honolulu. First, for the Board of Water Supply and then the Honolulu Fire Department. He ended his government service as a Battalion Chief in the Fire Department. Glenn started a second career working for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A major part of his responsibilities involved the acquisition of land, the construction of church buildings and the maintenance and upkeep of the Church’s properties. In addition, Glenn volunteer served in Church positions as Bishop, Stake President, Regional Representative and Temple President. He is survived by his wife, Julina Lung, 4 children, Stephen (Charlene), Jonathan (Janine), Jennifer Lung-Roberts (Edward) and Matthew (Lahela). Glenn was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Glenn Lung will be announced and conducted at a future date.
