Your mother has been in my heart for quite a while. She was so precious! Every once in a while, she would show up at the office of Weinberg Village Waimanalo where I am the Director. She would burst open the door and with a big grin and a giggle, she would say, "I'm back! Then I would walk to the loading zone where she parked her car. Your father was always in the passenger seat. She would take him with her just to come along for the ride. She always brought us a bag or two full of food donations that she wanted to give to the homeless families at the shelter.
We would always hug and kiss and she would giggle her joyful laugh. She would say about her hubby "we're OLD!" and then laugh and laugh. I was always so delighted to see her smiling face when she burst open the door.
I knew something must have happened since she hasn't been here in quite a while, but I didn't know for sure. I only knew her as Mrs. Simeona and missed it when she passed. But she has never left my heart. Today I was reading an article that had the name Simeona in it so I decided to look for her. So glad you have this picture here. I knew instantly she was the sweet lady I was looking for.
God bless you, sweet Billie Simeona! May you rest in peace and love. You truly lived Aloha and brought a lot of joy to me and others! I hope you and Mr. Simeona are together laughing in heaven.
Best wishes to the family. Aloha!
