John & Carol Aveiro
We wanted to express our sincere condolences to the Kiakona Ohana. We were deeply saddened when we heard of Jack’s passing. We will always remember Jack fondly. He was a kindhearted man and good friend who went to great lengths to help us when we were building our home there. He went out of his way, used his free time and energy, brought his equipment to our jobsite and alone did all of the groundwork and digging of the foundations. He even loaned us his compressor and jackhammer so John could break up the rock in some spots, and then he hauled all the excess material away! All of this was done without us even asking for his help and to top it off he even refused any payment! He was a true friend!
We will cherish the memories of our Bueno Sera dinners when we went back to Oahu for visits and the dinners we had in Seattle and Vancouver Canada before their Alaska cruises. Jack always had great taste in choosing our dinner wines! We always had a great time, sharing family stories, eating delicious meals, but mostly sharing the evening with two special friends, Jack and Barbara. In this time of your sorrow and sadness, we hope that all your fond family memories of young and old, of your time spent together, and all of your many journeys and travels together will bring you some comfort and peace.
We are thinking of you and send our love and prayers of strength as you mourn the loss of a great man, Jack!
Me ke aloha pumehana
