Jack Kiakona's Obituary
It is with great sadness to share the passing of Jack Kiakona. Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary is honored to be serving the Kiakona family.
Jack James Kiakona, 77, of Kailua, passed away on November 30, 2021. He was born in Pāʻia, Maui on August 23, 1944 and graduated from George Washington High School in Guam. He served in the United States Army, was a Vietnam veteran, and owned InterIsland Pools & Gunite Hawaii. Jack loved traveling with his moʻopuna to Disneyland, Las Vegas, on cruises to Alaska, and driving cross-country to watch them play sports.
Jack is survived by his wife of 50 years: Barbara Kiakona; Children: Keliʻi (Lisa) Kiakona, Kaulana (Brian) Flatt, Kapono (Lauren) Kiakona; Moʻopuna: Kaʻena & Alakaʻi Kiakona, Makana & Mahealani Flatt, Nahele & Nohealani Kiakona; Numerous cousins on Oʻahu, Maui, and the mainland.
Celebration of Life will be held on Friday January 28, 2022 at Valley of the Temples Mortuary. Visitation will be from 10:00am - 12:00pm with the memorial service beginning at 10:30am. Inurnment to follow at 1:00pm at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific Punchbowl.
