John Victorino Britos 's Obituary
John Victorino Oluhaakekulanaohalemano Britos passed away December 4th, 2013. He was 69 and much loved for his generous heart and kind ways. John was born at Koolaupoko, O’ahu February 8, 1942. His siblings include: Joseph Balera, Loma Palea, Peter Britos, Paul Britos, Virginia Tuckey, Ed Britos, Earl Britos. He is survived by brothers Loma, Paul, Earl, his sister, and many nephews, nieces and great and great-great nephews and nieces. John enjoyed a career as an Air Force Sergeant and was honorably discharged. For years he volunteered for the Department of Veterans Affairs. John was an avid photographer, poet, actor, cameraman, and he worked on movies with his family. As well he was a glider pilot, martial artist and he played excellent table tennis. Raised in Kaneohe and a graduate of Castle High School, John was also a popular figure in Waikiki and in Ma`ili. The funeral service will be December 16, 2013 at Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel on 18th Avenue. Visitation 5-6:30 and service to follow. In lieu of flowers, you may donate in his name to the VA Center for the Aging Community Living Center. His burial will be 8:30A.M. December 17, 2013 at Punch Bowl National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
