I went to high school with Joey and am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was kind to everyone, just shocked.
want to thank you for the opportunity I had, too briefly, with Dr. Luna. I was his patient at WHC for only 4 or 5 visits, and I want to say that in that brief time that man treated me with respect, care and concern for my "whole" well being. At my last appointment with him (after just a few visits). I thanked him for treating me with dignity which in turn helped renew a sense of dignity in myself. By his effort and attention, i am on the road to getting the treatment i needed so badlly. He also empowered me in that short time to want better for myself. I am very sad that he has passed. He was very kind and I was so, so grateful to have him as my doctor. I truly respected and valued him. I am so very sorry for your loss and your family is in my prayers. He, I believe, is in a wonderful place.
Joe was a good friend and a true professional in his line of work. He possessed a rare combination of intelligence coupled with heart and true empathy for all he encountered. He was too young to die. The world is truly lessened by his absence. My family and I are tremendously saddened by his death; he was a good man in a world where good men are scarce. May God be with him and his family who loved him, especially his little daughter whom he shared a new photo with me a few days ago. He loved her very much. He was a good man.
I befriended Joey back in our college days at Boise State, the man always welcomed me with a joyous smile and firm handshake. My heart goes out to you Denise and your beautiful daughter! I'll see you in that next place bruddah!

Joe was my doctor at Waikiki Health since before I had insurance. He's made such an impact on my quality of life, that I kept seeing him after I did get insurance making him my PC Doctor. I am living because of Joe. I miss you like I miss my Mother, may I see both of you again someday my friend...
