Aloha Nui Loa from Maggie Perry
I wanted to share an excerpt from Kahakuhi O 'Ainahau's March Newsletter to members of 'Ainahau O Kaleponi Hawaiian Civic Club of Orange County about Karen and how many felt about her (the pictured mentioned is the one posted):
Thinking of Karen has always brought a smile. Her great sense of the aloha spirit, humor, hard work ethic – she and James always pitching in when we so needed them at all major fund raising activities over the years. Their travel from Hesperia sometimes twice in a weekend never fazed them. I wanted to share this picture of Karen “in her element” - cooking and helping at a community garden event is how I will remember her.
Bless husband, James, Charlene - our Pelekikena, and her sisters, Kanani Hamilton, and Rene Langstaff in this time of loss.

Aloha Karen! God Bless you and your Ohana!
Love, Ediann Sanchez & Ronnette Painter,
your Maui Ohana.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Karen. My deepest condolences to her ohana. I never had the chance to personally meet Karen, but she would call our office whenever she needed to check for information regarding a client. I will always remember her as having a deep raspy voice on the other end of the phone. She will be missed. My aloha and prayers be with you.
