Lawrence was a Deacon at Waikane Congregational church for many years. He also served Kahu Kalili and the church in numerous ways. I used to volunteer to direct our Christmas plays and I could always count on Lawrence to build any set that my play required, from train sets to nativity scenes and beyond. Our plays were always the highlight for our Sunday school.
Much memories of small time riding the bus with Aunty Becky and getting to know the ohana especially with Pinky as we learned hula from Aunty Clara Tolentino. As we got older and through the WWCA struggle that we truly stood together that building relationships with our neighbors became a victory as the fight continues until the Lord takes us all home as the WWCA warriors before!
