Lee is the reason I came to Hawaii (and I’m still here).  Every time I pass the Sea Verse at Kewalo Basin I think of him.  He was a great fisherman, reading the ocean, the birds and waves.  He could fillet fish in a snap and cook them perfectly according to the type.  He was funny, too, in a lightly sarcastic way, and had a distinctive laugh.  He was really sympathetic when I went out fishing with him and Tom and was supposed to be the cook.  I was very seasick and could only chum the waters.  I think he lived a pretty full life, of fresh air and adventure above and under the water.  Fair winds and following seas, Lee.
