Masakatsu Yoshizumi's Obituary
After a long brave battle this past year, “Masa”, “Larry” Masakatsu Yoshizumi passed away at the age of 95.
Masa is survived by his 3 children – Laurie, Galen, and Paul. His wife Barbara and son Randy preceded him in death. Masa has 4 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren.
Dad loved to watch baseball and Japanese programs on TV. He would take the city bus to Honolulu China Town and frequently went to his favorite coffee shop to meet his long-time friends to “talk story” and was a member of China Town Senior Citizen Center.
Masa had a life time career in the commercial house painting industry and he painted many relatives’ homes here in Hawaii.
Larry and Barbara were life time members of the Kailua Seventh Day Adventist Church and much of their life together was centered around their family and the church; its activities and the close friends they had there.
