As a young boy in San Anselmo I would walk to the library, just around the corner from the Fire Department. Chuck was a childhoom chum and Bud was the ever welcoming, smiling, make-you-feel-happy fireman that could make a little kid feel important and embraced.

His warmth was so consistent, his inviting smile so infectious that it made you feel good all the rest of the day. Visiting him often in the Fire House was so special to me.

I am sitting here in San Jose, CA, 2015, just having learned of Bud's passing via the internet, feeling profoundlly sad that it was too long ago we last met, yet also feeling so happy that Bud lived a long life and obviously continued to touch so many people in only the way Bud could.

I was blessed to know Bud, Ruth and Chuck's dad. Chuck, what a great uncle you had and I'm so glad you were there for him.

For over twenty years I and my family were blessed to have had Bud as an extended family member. At our wedding he took a prominent role which we will cherish forever.I was fortunate to hear many stories over the years such as seeing a silent film for the first time as a little boy or walking across the Golden Gate Bridge before it opened to the public. He didn't dwell on it but I got the sense of what Pearl Harbor was like the week after the attack when he first arrived in Hawaii. His stories of fighting WWII were never about what he did but about what those men who were with him did, He was forever jolly and full of fun and he would pick up women with a great big bear hug when he was well into his 80s. I was so fortunate to know and claim this man who lived for nearly a century as a true friend. Rest Easy Buddy Boy your home!

Good morning my name is Wendy Lee Kapuanani Estacion-Keaunui, Annie & August Wilson grand-daughter. I have to work this morning not able to come to viewing, just wanted the family to know he was a wonderful man. I've known Bud from the time I was a little girl, he use pack me on his bike and ride up and down Manu Mele Street. He was so much fun. Always smiling and a happy man. Anytime I pass by the house and saw Bud outside working in the yard stopped and talk story. He always had encouraging words and very knowledgeable about a lot of subjects. Man of wisdom and very helpful. He did a lot for my grand-parents while they were both alive. I will truly miss Bud. Thank God for Bud. God bless Bud and Family.

Aloha 'oe Bud. I will cherish the joy and laughter you brought to Manu Mele Street forever. You took our neighborhood gang on so many hikes, to the beach and let us romp around in your beautiful yard. You built my solid bookshelf which we still have and love. I can hear you laughing! I love you, I miss you, and I am sad you have left us. I'm sure you've got your white sneakers & socks, walking shorts and t-shirt on... give my mom one of your "lift off" hugs when you see her. Bud Lamb was my dad's best friend. They grew up together in CA. I never met my dad, Frank Walsh. Through Bud, I got to know and love my dad. Frank Walsh's grandchildren got to know and love Bud Lamb, their grandfather's best friend. Bud Lamb loved them for him.
