Robert Gig Young's Obituary
Robert Gig Young, 67 was born and raised in the Diamond Head area of Oahu, Robert was a graduate from Kalani High School. Robert loved the ocean. His passion for the water would later translate into becoming a fisherman and joining the navy. Upon returning from the navy he began working at Young Brothers as a utility person. Robert retired from the company after 44 years of service. On April 5th, 1975 he married the love of his life Arvilla. Together they raised a daughter Mele, and a son Makoa. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Arvilla Anne Alika Young, his daughter Mele (Darrin), and his son Makoa (Stefanie). Also his grandchildren: Melia, Moani, and Riley. He is survived by his older brothers, Gabriel, Mervin (Joni) and Jeffrey (Jeannie) and his younger brother Randy (Beverly). Robert was preceded in death by his parents Gabriel and Violet Young and his older brother Paul. Celebration of Life: Sunday, March 1st, 2020 at Valley of the Temples Mortuary Lower Chapel. Private Family Time 9:30-10:00, Visitation 10:00-11:00, Service 11:00 and
lunch to follow. Interment private.
