Judy and Family: I read about your father's passing. You always shared wonderful stories about your dad and I'm sorry I never had the privilege of meeting him. My sincerest condolences to you and your family. Aloha, Charleen Nako-Cowin
We will always treasure the memory of sitting by the pool at the end of a work day , eating squid ,drinking a beer and talking about his children's day. Rudi was my daughters godfather and for that I am thankful. Poke and Dee Stiers

It felt like Rudi became a member of my family when his beautiful daughter, Karen, became my sister-in-law. Over the years he has fixed cars for me and we have had many wonderful conversations! There was always a twinkle in Rudi's eyes and a smile that was genuine. To all my Metzger Ohana-- I love you; you are in my thoughts and prayers. I will never forget your kind father/husband. Sending love- Cece Umbhau Fontaine
When my family settled in Kailua and bought their first home, just around the corner lived Pam and Rudi. My mom, Annabella was from England so she bonded immediately with Pam, who was also from England. From then on every holiday was celebrated going to each others homes. Rudi took in my ex husband John to their shop and taught him to be an excellent mechanic. Rudi and Pam are the Godparents to my only daughter Noelle.
The last time I was able to see Rudi was when he and Pam came here to Kauai for my dad's memorial.
My love goes out to Pam and the rest of the family.
